- I notice that in every.single.story about kids "forgotten" in cars - the parent was using their cellphone at some point. It says a LOT when a "parent" forgets their child, but NEVER their cellphone.

- I'm also wondering about how three grown women were held for 10 years by one man. Granted, we don't have details yet, but so far, this doesn't seem to be a Gary Heidnik deal - they don't seem to have been chained in pits. Don't get me wrong - the women are in NO way responsible for being kidnapped.

- Joe, I agree with you. I also have bipolar disorder, and I get the fun kind that has psychosis as a primary feature. My lithium and Seroquel have not only kept me safe, but have kept those around me safe, as I become homicidal when I have psychotic breaks (that I have been hospitalized for).

- Snookums - "Parents" (not to be confused with actual parents who, you know, actually raise decent citizens) need to discipline their children, teach them how to behave, and get over it.
- Susi - There's also those of us on the other end for whom high-pitched noises are physically painful. Even if the volume is lower (like with earplugs), the pitch is the same, and that's what hurts.
- I'm not sure why so many people with kids are upset at the people wanting child-free flights. They should be upset with the "parents" who refuse to discipline their kids and make them act like human beings. They're the reason we need to implement these measures.

- Exactly. If you want to take your baby to a sporting event, be my guest, but the outrage at having to actually PAY for a seat for the kid reeks of entitlement. Imagine what these kids are going to grow up as.
